When God Says Wait
Lamentations 3:25- "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him." (ESV)
God really said not yet, and I'm sitting here like a toddler in the grocery store checkout line throwing a whole tantrum.
You know that feeling when you've been praying for something for months, maybe even years, and you're convinced you've got the perfect timeline figured out?
You've made the vision board, you've manifested, you've done everything except actually wait patiently.
I used to think waiting was punishment. Like God was up there scrolling through prayers like it's Netflix, passing by mine because the thumbnail wasn't appealing enough.
But honestly, every time I've been forced to wait for something, the final result was so much better than what I originally wanted.
Remember when you wanted that toxic relationship back so badly you were ready to light candles and cast spells?
Thank God for that waiting period because now you're with someone who actually loves and respects you.
Or when you were desperate for that job that would've made you miserable, but waiting led you to something that actually feeds your soul?
The waiting room is where character gets built. It's where you learn that your worth isn't tied to getting what you want when you want it.
God's timing isn't late. It's strategic. While you're sitting there tapping your foot, He's moving pieces around that you can't even see yet.
I've learned that when God says wait, He's not withholding blessings, He's protecting you from settling.
Sometimes, what we're asking for isn't ready for us, or we're not ready for it. The waiting period is preparation time, not punishment time.
So if you're in a season of waiting right now, remember that delay doesn't mean denial.
Your breakthrough is still coming. It's just being delivered at the exact right moment when you can actually handle it.
