Why does Christianity feel so judgmental sometimes?

If God is loving, why does Christianity feel so judgmental sometimes?

Christianity gets labelled judgmental, but here's what most people miss. The Bible actually commands Christians not to judge others. Jesus said in Matthew 7, judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged. He literally warned against the exact behaviour people criticize.

The problem isn't Christianity. It's Christians who forget their own teachings. When someone acts judgmental, they're not following Christ. They're following their own ego. Jesus spent his entire ministry with tax collectors, prostitutes, and outcasts. The religious people of his day hated him for it. They thought he was too accepting. Too loving. Sound familiar?

God's love doesn't mean he approves of everything. Parents love their kids but still correct harmful behaviour. That's not judgment. That's care. Real Christianity looks like Jesus washing dirty feet, forgiving the woman caught in adultery, dying for people who mocked him. Romans 5:8 says, God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He didn't wait for us to get better. He loved us first. If someone treats you with contempt in God's name, they're misrepresenting him. Jesus said the world would know his followers by their love, not their condemnation. The message got twisted by imperfect people. But God's character never changed. His love remains constant.

God Bless You
